Join us to hear Prof. Mark Denavit discuss the Catalog of AISC limit states. He will summarize the results of their studies and findings.
During a one-hour session, you will learn about the AISC catalog of limit states and design requirements, which summarizes the AISC limit states and design requirements for steel connection design and how IDEA StatiCa addresses those. Professor Mark D. Denavit at the University of Tennessee is the main author. The catalog is available here.
Also, Prof. Denavit will discuss specific entries: weld rupture, shear yielding and rupture, design basis, and deformation compatibility in long connections.
Finally, he will discuss what other topics are coming for the catalog and the new CBFEM book containing verifications of IDEA StatiCa for the AISC code provisions.
