WELCOME
A warm welcome from IDEA StatiCa Campus.
In this course, you will develop an in-depth, thorough understanding of the potential and workflows of the IDEA StatiCa Applications for steel structure design. You will follow a program of study that combines audiovisual lessons (and reference documents in PDF format - ???).
That all is accompanied by a series of self-evaluation activities that must be completed to obtain the IDEA StatiCa Certificate.
You can find all the information in the IDEA StatiCa Campus Course Factsheet.pdf

HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE
To go through this course, it's highly recommended to have IDEA StatiCa software downloaded, installed, and activated the license. Find below all the information you need to set up IDEA StatiCa Steel apps.
If you have not installed the software yet, we strongly suggest for the purpose of this course using our EDUCATIONAL license.
TUTORING
As a student on the course, you will have access to tutoring, which you can choose to use at any point. We offer two methods:
- Group tutoring: in the forum provided below you can ask general questions, generating a conversation that may help other students well.
- For the more specific queries, there is also the option of asking the teachers questions via email.
OTHER INTERESTING RESOURCES
Finally, we offer a series of general resources for accessing support and asking questions.
01 | Principles of CBFEM method
In this unit, we will shortly introduce the elementary background of the CBFEM (Component Based Finite Element) Method – the theory behind applications like IDEA StatiCa Connection, IDEA StatiCa Member, HILTI PROFIS Engineering, Advance Design Connection, and others.

QUIZ 01.
TASK DESCRIPTION
The objective of this first activity is to break the ice with the evaluation system in IDEA StatiCa Campus.
Therefore, you should read the PDF Documentation for this Chapter 0 and then start the attempt and complete the quiz.
ACTIVITY EVALUATION
The activity will be evaluated by means of a multiple-choice questionnaire. Of the 4 possible answers for each question, only one will be correct.
