Any IDEA StatiCa Connection project file can be opened in the free online IDEA StatiCa Viewer. This tool also allows the export of the connection model to a 3D DWG file to be opened in any CAD application.
Please note: Export of bolts, welds, and other details is limited in the current version.
To export the connection model to a 3D DWG file, go to the tab Project and click 3D DWG file.
Sometimes, when you open the 3D DWG in Autodesk applications (e.g., Advance Steel), there are some parts of the connection model missing. This is due to the internal data reading error of the Autodesk software.
In such a case, type the command AUDIT in the command line and confirm Yes <Y> and enter. The model will be refreshed to the correct shape.
