Introduction
The advanced computational workflow training workshop is a 1 day in-person course led by IDEA StatiCa’s BIM team Nathan Luke (BIM and Automation Specialist) and Vojtech Chalupa (Product and Development Owner).
Participants will learn how to implement computational workflows to significantly reduce manual and respective task associated with connection design. This includes (but is not limited to) workflows to improve the study of high-volume design iterations or automate design of similar connections across a project.
The workshop will outline the key features available within IDEA Connection to implement connection automation and will be demonstrated through examples using Rhino/Grasshopper3d and Python.
Who is the training for?
The workshop is aimed at computational engineers looking for ways to increase the speed and efficiency of connection design through visual scripting and coding.
The training may also appeal to researchers or academics interested in academic studies of connection design and performance.
Course Requirements
- Basic Rhino and/or Grasshopper skills required.
